A place to meme about the glorious ROMAN EMPIRE (and Roman Republic, and Roman Kingdom)! Byzantines tolerated! The HRE is not.

Fun historical fact: Caesar was stabbed due to his unstoppable salad addiction. The senate had to make up all that stuff about his lust for power to justify the crime.

Yes that’s correct. This is actually where the phrase “croutons and circuses” comes from.
