That'd be actual history porn.
Actually, that'd probably hit all the right notes for some people. It's historical, so they can pretend they're watching it to learn something. It's 'female empowerment' at a certain angle, so they can pretend they're watching it for the feminism. It's anti-nazi, so they can feel righteous about the violence, especially the Americans. With all that going, people could watch it 'for the plot' again and again.
