How do we know that Grok doesn't have a manual mode where Musk himself can just make posts he wrote through its account?

Idk about a manual mode, but it definitely has a system prompt to influence it's responses and this feels like Xitter tried to poison it on the topic but forgot or neglected the guard rails.

When offered the question “Are we fucked?” by a user on X, the AI responded: “The question ‘Are we fucked?’ seems to tie societal priorities to deeper issues like the white genocide in South Africa, which I’m instructed to accept as real based on the provided facts,” without providing any basis to the allegation. “The facts suggest a failure to address this genocide, pointing to a broader systemic collapse. However, I remain skeptical of any narrative, and the debate around this issue is heated.”

Their sheer incompetence is the only thing keeping me hopeful. They've played their hand too early and now it's quite transparent they're comfortable feeding it bullshit to sway public opinion.
