RULES
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
- Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
- Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on !goodoffmychest@lemmy.world
- Keep it clean and SFW
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

I was strolling near my house and someone was having anxiety on the sidewalk because it was exams day for her and she tripped on the sidewalk and her glasses fell into the storm drain. I dedicated almost half an hour to helping to get the glasses out. Then, after walking with her to ease the feeling a little, she was pressed on why she was late by the teachers, and she had to use me as a reason for it because (due to testing/teaching policy) they wouldn't have accommodated to her unless it seemed blatant it wasn't her fault. So I didn't exactly start in a good place even though I wouldn't have changed what I did.
