I fundamentally disagree. See the piece published by The (British) Times written by Eva Kors after she publicly forgave Oskar Gröning at his trial for his actions in Auschwitz, titled "Why forgiveness is the best revenge of all." A first hand account of such events is infinitely more newsworthy than the majority of slop published. But it isn't news because it is, ultimately, an opinion piece on why she believes she is right to forgive him?
Context and nuance matters.
She shouldn't have forgave oskar whatever. They removed the stasi from germany not even 20 years ago and they're already back to being nazis.
