All I get from this is how Greta is putting us all to shame.
She's fighting an unwinnable fight in the face of obvious defeat ... a literal David and Goliath confrontation (and this time there will be no divine intervention) yet she chooses to jump into the fight anyway.
GOP always pretend they could do the same but would only ever cower and scatter like cockroaches at the first sight of danger.
I'm genuinely afraid for her life. She's throwing herself into a situation where the last people who tried got bombed. The Reich wing of the world would love to see her killed and I honestly think the vast majority of us would shrug it off instead of riot. :(
She knows this. She's not dumb. I assume her hope is that her death will enrage people enough to do something. That her death will matter.
I hope it will too.
Israel has murdered US citizens. And faced literally no consequences whatsoever. And that was under Biden.
Not even just Israel. Saudi Arabia attacked the US on 9/11 as the declassified documents that Obama released showed, and the US proceeded to go to war with two unrelated countries instead, and the US is still allied with Saudi Arabia. Hell, nobody even talked about it on mainstream news, and the public seems to have completely forgotten about it.
She has already done this in the past, and she got drone bombed then too.
She's doing what she's been doing for the last several years. She is using the brand name recognition that the right-wing nutters have given her through their vitriol and using it to highlight whatever cause she desires to make people pay attention to.
In a very real sense they have turned her into a powerful media weapon for progressive and climate change causes. Because everywhere she goes she gets ink.
She's been doing it so long that Elon was liberal and they gave her a car to use for a US tour.
You see he wasn't actually liberal. He was kissing up to the people who buy his cars. He's not interested in actual politics or policy he just wants to fuck with regulations to be able to do what he wants with his companies without any restrictions from our government. That is was and always will be the actual purpose of DOGE.
I realized what a POS he is right during the pandemic when he had absolute fucking meltdowns about not being able to force his workers into his factories to build his fucking cars while everybody was dying from the virus in the first few months after it started rampaging across the globe.
Not sure why but as I read your post I concluded in my head that it kind of makes sense because the only convictions they have, if it can even be called that, is egocentric, while hers are principled and selfless.
