I have sat my mom down and stated, looking her in the eyes, very clearly that I will never, ever, ever join Facebook. It changed nothing. She still works it into every conversation. If I try and explain why, I get about five words in and she does the "bla blah blah whatever" and then incorrectly explains Facebook to me as if me saying anything at all meant nothing. Facebook is for old people who don't give a fuck about anyone else. It's the ultimate mirror for aging narcissists.
