Got my social anxiety misdiagnosed as a language deficiency around kindergarten. Got gaslighted into thinking I was slower then everyone else and I would only be a burden. Got to high school and realized something was wrong and tried to fix myself and got a whole lot versions of "you don't need to better yourself. it might make you depressed." A decade and a half of free, compulsory education wasted.

I called my old high school the other day asking for a document that said I never actually graduated because I never fulfilled the basic, state mandated requirements. They refused, but slipped up and said that I actually tested advanced proficient for science. Something they lied about when I was there.
