She's talking about the industry, not the music. It is a bit of a weird article though, misspelling Tait's name in the subtitle and missing a word further down ("published a lengthy article said to be the result of a two and a half investigation into Tait"). I thought rolling stone usually didn't make those kinds of editing mistakes!
Well, maybe you're right. That nuance wasn't obvious to me.
The title says "Christian Music Industry", in the article she is quoted as saying "I hope the CCM industry crumbles". I believe it is pretty clear that she's talking about the industry.
