If calling my reps and senators made a difference we wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place.
I know, I’ve been calling them for decades.
Seriously.
It is incredibly naive to think you can just politely ask someone to go against their vested interests.
Decades of history have shown that in situations like these, the people need to employ direct action and force the ruling powers that be to capitulate to demands of the people or see their authority dismantled and replaced with one that will.
What do you mean? You don't like getting automated messages informing you that while your opinion is very important to Senator Bloodfeast, he has opted to continue to go against your best interests, and here's why that's actually good for you and you're a stupid idiot for thinking otherwise?
