sodium intake becomes dangerously high

Perhaps switch to black salt?

The expression is, take it with a grain of salt.

https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/take-with-a-grain-of-salt.html

The subtext being that the FBI and Homeland Security lie so much, that if you take everything they say with a grain of salt, you'll be at risk of dying from too much salt.

They say "Take it with a grain of salt." and not "Take it with a grain of Sea Salt.".
So I am just saying - Use black salt for the grains and you get less Na per grain.

Black salt is nice, but it's not low in sodium, it's just high in iron.

I am not going to try understanding your reasoning behind saying that nor try to explain ratio and proportions.
