You can't hold 40% accountable any more than you can declare them mentally ill. Not that I'm happy about that but I'm trying to be realistic. I think we'll try to move on best we can and if we can, put guardrails in place (but I don't know what that would even look like).
The Supreme Court is probably going to be a problem for decades. I'm fifty. I'm going to be dead before this country is unfucked.
What do you think moving on will look like? I'm guessing average people will memory hole most of the behaviour from trump supporters and not talk about the subject so as to not create tension.
That's what I imagine, but there's going to be a whole generation politically activated by this I think. If anything good comes from this, it'll be that.
