He's also redistricting California

He got it on the ballot. He has no control over what voters do. It’s likely to pass, but if it doesn’t he gets to go “aw shucks, I tried!”

I mean, Trump deployed the California National Guard anyway. Not volunteering them didn’t actually accomplish anything.

I’m sorry to hammer on this but it’s important to not give him credit for things he didn’t actually do. The media disinformation/lack of proper explanation in articles about what exactly is going on with California redistricting makes it seem to many like Newsom is a magic man who’s making a bunch of new Democratic districts tomorrow, but it’s not even on the ballot until November and it’s not a guaranteed thing.

Trump's control of 4,000 Cali National Guardsmen went to court and sadly the courts sided with Donald Trump, other states have actually willingly sent National Guard to help Trump occupy cities he disagrees with.

Irrelevant to the end results: he didn’t prevent the California National Guard from being deployed against US civilians, and he hasn’t actually done anything to ensure that redrawing districts will happen.

Giving him credit for shit he hasn’t accomplished is ridiculous.

Is there a law that requires redistricting measures have a popular vote?

I also don’t give partial credit for stopping fascist takeovers of state militias.
