Except for a few states, I don't always know who's aligned with which party. But I always thought New Mexico to be more conservative/republican. And that goes against their beliefs. I must've been wrong.

New Mexico is pretty purple, leaning blue and moving more so as time goes on. It's an odd mix though, with a lot of libertarian leaning republicans and Catholic democrats.
