Anti Meme

We're the anti-meme community where the joke is that there isn't one, and by explaining that, we've ruined the whole thing, but we all find the collective misery hilarious.

The music of comedy is more important than the joke itself.

Follow the instance rules please, this is a lovely instance.

I too hate it when people are trying to cover complex stuff properly instead of giving an almost-but-not-really correct digest

Idk why you need to be that condesending and binary, you can cover an interesting stuff without being too complicated. The art of covering interesting topic in brief is long gone after Tom Scott left the scene it seems.

Edit: Internet Shaquille and Ted-Ed is always worth mentioning. Not every topic need to be overcomplicated 50min long essay.

YouTube made a change to their content curation algorithm a few years ago, which favors longer videos, because they can fit more ads into those. As a result, even topics that could be perfectly covered in shortform videos get documentary-length videos.

But actually creating a densely packed documentary is a lot of work, so instead you get three intros, an unboxing, a tasting and half a life story for a video on how to bake a bread.
