If you rephrase it to states instead of countries what would your answer be?

[–] stinerman@midwest.social 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Florida. My brother lives there though. However he moving back to the Midwest so maybe I don't have to go anymore.

Two answers for Florida haha. Is there something specific you can name or is it the general "vibe", I've never been there

Imagine combining this lovely soup of factors:

  • A population with collective brain drain on par with Russia after the 2022 Invasion of Ukraine
  • Weather, wildlife, and pollution almost built to make you miserable/kill you
  • Probably one of the most "MAGA" states in the country, so you may not even be able to exist there without getting harassed by the citizenry or law enforcement
  • Alligator Auschwitz (Need I say more?)
  • Disney World and Universal make the shitty traffic and pollution worse on a regular basis, on top of being financial tar pits

Ah, I see what you mean

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago

I will never visit Florida ever again.

As someone in a similar boat, Florida. 100%, Florida. Or Arizona.
