Does anyone have a stove with a mechanism, or function, or feature, or do you have a strategy for some sort of timed shut-off. (sh.itjust.works)

My Siemens induction stove has a timer function that shuts off the "plate". I use it fairly often. For pasta I use the regular timer and then I'll stand by the pot and taste every now and then until the noods are good.
