Aren't both the entire COD lineage and the Source engine based around the quake 3 engine, they never used Unreal?

I think with source it's q2/1. Idk about COD, but sure, engines developed during the quake 3 era were probably 80/20 split. I'm taking about late 00s early 10s where even street fighter was on unreal engine(which it still might be)

The id tech I'm denigrating is the doom 3 engine which was used to make doom 3, quake 4, rage, prey and basically nothing else
