Yeah it would seem so.
I like to imagine they created each account manually, angrily downvoting me, whilst completely forgetting karma isn't a thing here.
And yet, you're the only ones talking about downvotes, as if it had any semblance of importance. It appears as the "It annoys me" brand of "I don't care" to me.
Besides, and take note that I didn't downvote anyone, do you really find it less plausible that there are that many people voicing their disagreement with you in that way than one folk with multiple accounts?
My impression is that a lot of the new users from the reddit influx explicitly use downvotes as a way to signal their disagreement with an opinion. As a result, several instances have disabled downvotes to shield themselves from this unwanted internet culture. There have also been working proof of concepts of articifial downvote bots, using such tools would be in line with the reddit culture as I've experienced it.
It at least seems to somewhat be the actual intended use in Lemmy's case. Being from that recent wave of new users, I'll confess thinking that Lemmy could do away with the vote system entirely; on Reddit, it always annoyed me to see, say, a well-written opinion about a piece of media being buried at the bottom of the page just for going against the grain.
That's how the system technically works, not the rules on my instance.
In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised to be in front of a pot calling the kettle black. You might have curated your post history, but traces of your behavior remains in this post in the form of how you were replied to. And for having seen what you actually said, I can tell that you're a quite unsavory individual. I'm surprised that you weren't banned.
And I would be fine having my IP, as well as my MAC address audited.
