You see, the artist is trying to express their frustration with the process. "There is no joke" because we are the joke. We are the frog, putting on our clothes to drag ourselves through the day-to-day, never taking in the absurdity of our situations, of trying to get through.

Eh, I'd put a meme artist a peg above. Sandwiches are so ephemeral, a meme is forever. Or at least until compression artifacts ruin it's legibility.
