Well it was sometimes insulting but by no means all removed comments. An Admin just wiped all comments of this person.
The Soviets were also communist. Any authoritarian ideology can become fascist.
Of course china is communist. Only under socialist leadership can a country produce as much stuff as china. 95% of the world's gallium, for example. The only thing financial capitalist nations like britain can produce is webapps.
