I'd be worried about me freaking out, causing the horse to freak out and stomp me to death. This thought itself would of course (of course) increase the chance of me freaking out about the horse.

Would it make you feel better to know that horses bias very heavily to the flight side of fight or flight?

The are so heavily biased into running away that getting their legs stuck is a common way for them to lose a leg.

What the GP gets wrong is on the assumption that it's safe to be near a horse trying to run away.

But that's a brown horse. I've only ever seen white horses fly.

Horses in that situation would be much more likely to run away I think. Note: I'm not a horseologist.
