What kind of self-defense weapons are allowed in Denmark? Asking on behalf of a friend.

And before I get people saying Denmark is a safe country, let me just say, not in this friend's unfortunate experience.

EDIT: thank you to the couple people who gave good suggestions. To everyone who said not to get one or asked why that would be needed, sorry if you didn't get the hint but some really fucking bad stuff happened and my friend can't tell anyone for reasons I can't disclose (believe me, I suggested it). Please respect that (and if you don't please die in a hole because this is serious :D ).

Anything you allow people to carry in self defense, you enable the other guy to carry for your mugging.

Counter question, we allow you to carry whatever he was carrying. He is now carrying something double worse, and because of our enabling, their organization has grown. So then what?

I used to believe the same thing. Sadly it seems violent crime happens even without weapons, and then the victims have no way to defend themselves.

Firmly agree with you on this. Now the second ingredient that forms the base of my opinion is a statement I will make right now: The criminal element will always be a step ahead of Civilians in the weapons department. Whatever civilians can legally carry, the criminal element will carry something worse.

I get it, someone mugging you with a pepper spray when you have nothing sucks. But if I give you a pepper spray, next thing that happens is you get mugged by someone with a piece. I give you a piece, he shows you a picture of your daughter in middle school. Stop the arms race between civilians and criminals.
