My impression is that to most employers, relevant work experience is more important than good grades - of course, it depends on the field and the individual company. After finishing uni, I had both, but I've actually been questioned a bit about my good grades in interviews, because they wanted to make sure I wasn't anti-social or something 🙈 So I'd say good grades in some subjects and middle-good grades in others, along with relevant(ish) work experience is a winning combination.
