In German the Japanese ne? Is ne?

Example:

Kawaii desu ne?

Es ist niedlich, ne?

However germans use depending on the region different words with the same meaning.

"gell, oder? (odda?)" and many more

I guess "eh" and "huh" would be the closest translation in American English.
