Don't try it, it feels wrong
It's kind of funny that there is another comment that says that sweet popcorn is wrong. It seems it mostly depends on what you are used to.

I'm not going to admit that I was inspired by that one because it would give them legitimacy. Popcorn is supposed to be sweet.
