I don't need anything too fancy, I just want to be able to watch the camera, and stop a print if it goes wrong.
Networking is all set on my end too. Got an OpenVPN tunnelback to my house for other stuff.

If you're running HomeAssistant, you can integrate the printer into HA, and have camera streams and full controls.

If you're not running HA, well, this is not especially useful.

Thank you for this :) I run HomeAssistant and didn’t even consider checking to see if there was an integration

I have this bookmarked from last week. Does it really work with Bambu printers?!

Yup, you just need somewhere in your local network to install it. I've been using it on my P1S since I changed it to LAN only mode a couple weeks ago.

Do you use an AMS? I had my printer in LAN mode but found that I couldn't synchronize custom filament profiles to the AMS without enabling cloud and logging in via orca.

No problems synchronizing with LAN only mode in Orca Slicer for me.

OctoEverywhere I have the service working. It loads fine on Octoeverywhere but the share link is not working on Octoapp

Dunno, I just log into the website. Don't need another app clogging up my phone.

Good point.

  • OctoEverywhere
  • Bambu Connect
  • Joint

Are the 3 I’ve tried for iOS, all have varying levels of control and quality, all worked at least somewhat with my Bambu X1C.

It’s also possible to control with HomeAssistant, but I would not recommend that unless you’re already using it, it’s quite overkill and complex to use just for 1 task.

Bambu-Farm self-hosted server application works well for me together with a VPN into my home network. Made to control print farms, but single printers work all the same.
