I absolutely hate that we get Midges, Gnats and Mosquitos in the UK these days, it was mostly judge Midges when I was a kid, although you'd see a rare Gnat and Mosquitos were unheard of.

There are way more mosquitos now, never used to be a problem in the past. Awful things!

Yeah, we get a lot of the black/white legged ones, which are the ones that carry Dengue and Malaria AIUI

The problem with judge midges is, there's no reasoning with them... they're judge, jury and executioner (of bites)

Scottish midges are something else and mega second generation does not sound good. Let's hope they never move further south.
