So the one in the old fable was even more of a dick than we'd been led to believe. Got it.

Well, the frog would die from the sting, the scorpion would die from drowning if it's not the kind that can swim.
Yes, but that is less fun for my dad-joke purposes.
One time I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, and I swear I saw a scorpion in the bathroom. Freaked out like the 8 year old I was, woke my parents up. They turned on the light to the bathroom and the dog had pooped on the floor.
I mean if it moved like a scorpion I’d be even more afraid
So the scorpion scared the dog, too. Dang.
My mom lived in Greece long before I was born. Her residence had an outdoor bathroom system. Apparently, when my mom was pregnant with my eldest sister, she once had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. She got up to go out, reached for the doorknob, then had a burst of intuition. She got a light source to find her way out, only to find a giant scorpion standing right on the doorknob where her hand would have landed.
Nice try scorpions
OP is scorpions
They may even adorably hide in the leaves of the skimmer to give you surprise tickles.
Why are you like this.
I remember once opening the door to a garage (with a gravel floor), hundreds of the little guys immediately dove in to the gravel. It was... fine. I was... fine.
Conversely, I was at a snake petting zoo and they had an arachnid room. There was a big ol' scorpion there covered with it's babies taking a ride and it was honestly very cute! (This was thousands of miles from home, so that helped too.)
In summary: Scorpions... sometimes?
Also, at least some of them can't kill you! My dad got stung by one once. The ER told him the local scorpions just hurt if they stung you but to come back if he had an allergic reaction.
Generally, if they have big scary looking claws they are less reliant on their tail so their tickles aren't so spicy. Conversely, if they have tiny claws they are heavily reliant on tail tickles.
Meet the ancestor of scorpions, the sea scorpion.
Some species were up to 2.5m long
Scorpions are amazing. They are older than trees and one of the earliest animals to crawl out of the ocean.
Look, washing myself was never an option.
So no more swimming ever again, got it. I enjoyed it while I could!
Is this a common thing? The one I found one time in my pool was dead, so I couldn't ask him what he was doing there.
It depends on the species mostly
i dont get it
