Summary

Elon Musk called for arrests after posting a video on X showing a confrontation between women and a Tesla Cybertruck driver.

In the video, a woman pointed at the vehicle, prompting the driver to yell threats while the crowd chanted "Shame!"

Another woman called the driver a Nazi.

Musk claimed the incident was part of broader attacks and urged authorities to arrest those funding such actions, saying targeting only “puppets and paid foot-soldiers” would not stop the violence.

Seriously, he keeps saying we're supposed to be being paid to hate Tesla, but I haven't seen a paycheck yet. Anyone have the number for HR?

[–] shaquilleoatmeal@lemm.ee 10 points 19 hours ago

I’m confused. I was told “unusual hand gestures” are fine??

[–] takeiteasypolicy@lemmy.world 17 points 21 hours ago

If Musk just disappears from earth and is never seen or heard again, no one will miss him.

[–] jve@lemmy.world 22 points 1 day ago

arrest those funding those actions

Every accusation is a confession.

[–] Litebit@lemmy.world 36 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Why not just ban Tesla and cyber trucks since they are offensive to people eyes, are linked to a Nazism and provoke violence.

The Cybertruck would be done for in the blink of an eye If the NHTSA had balls and treated it fairly in response to its disastrous statistics.

Let's go through elons post history and arrest him for every bad thing he's said about liberals or anyone else. Remember that pedo comment he made? Arrest him for it.

[–] joel_feila@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Musk: comedy is now legal Also musk: flipping people off is not

Wait, we can get paid to laugh at cybertrucks? And here I am doing it for free like a sucker.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 21 points 1 day ago

It's always projection with those assholes.

[–] dellish@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

That's right. Setting fire to Teslas is OK so long as you do it for free!

[–] Birch@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 day ago

Who are they going to blame for “paid actors” when Soros (age 94) is gone?

[–] humorlessrepost@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

By that point they’ll be able to go back to the more generic “the Jews”.

[–] ganbramor@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

They want to arrest “the people funding this”, but what if nobody is? Is it so hard to believe people are just generally upset with what’s going on and are capable of organizing without a rich boogeyman leading them? It’s weird to think that only money can motivate.

[–] Aeri@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

I think Musk making people realize they have to aim higher than "foot soldiers" is not a great idea for him haha!

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

I call for Elon musks arrest for unusual hand gestures.

[–] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 135 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Musk has a point, though. The Cybertruck is extremely fragile, so pointing at it with your finger poses a significant risk and could even set it on fire.

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 1 points 20 hours ago

Panels fall off at the slightest mention of it

[–] ApatheticCactus@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It DOES have a higher fire fatality statistic than the Ford Pinto so...

[–] skulblaka@sh.itjust.works 1 points 21 hours ago

However bad you think that is, it's almost definitely worse.

TL;DR: The CyberTruck is 17 times more likely to have a fire fatality than a Ford Pinto, a car endlessly memed on by an entire generation for its flammability.

You should go read that article, because it's short, but just look at this chart I pulled from it.

Elon's self esteem is the strength of soft tofu. it's not for the world to walk on eggshells. He needs to get some actual real therapy cuz this isn't managing at life.

[–] o1011o@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

A good criminal justice system ought to have comprehensive mental health services as part of the goal of rehabilitation. Therefore, for his own good, he should be in prison and we should reform the prison system.

[–] Corno@lemm.ee 79 points 2 days ago (2 children)

He's allowed to do Nazi salutes at inaugurations, but people aren't allowed to point fingers at his cars?

It's soon going to be illegal to hurt Elon feelings.

Never forget that Elon Musk has built his fortune on many many violations of the law, including SEC violations and breaking employment laws. This ghoul firmly believes that his is of a privileged class that is permitted to do this while you are not. He is a cancer in our society and deserves nothing but ridicule and punishment for the harm he feels entitled to inflict on the rest of us.

high profile non binary, non white, non male identified people deal with actual life threats on their life just for existing.

Meanwhile here's a white cisdude with billions worried about some woman pointing in a general direction.

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 79 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

"It is time to arrest those funding the attacks," he wrote. "Arresting their puppets and paid foot-soldiers won’t stop the violence."

Yes, very much so. It is high time we arrest those who are funding the violence against America.

Who is responsible for the havoc we are suffering, again?

[–] drascus@sh.itjust.works 85 points 2 days ago (6 children)

Its a good thing we have Elon protecting free speech. What a fucking sham.
