I am trying to make a super cool subscription tracker that can track all your subscription at one place like a google calendar but for subscriptions.

what are some cool features you would expect.

Here are the questions I would want answered:

  • Catalog: What am I subscribed to?
  • Effort: How much time do I have to put in to tell it what it needs?
  • Money: How much are all these costing?
  • Utility: Is it worth it? (my usage of a subscriotion vs the cost)
  • Optimize: are there better deals based on my usage?
  • Compare: Is there anything better? Or similar?
  • Notification: Tell me when there's something I should know.
  • Discovery: What is out there I might like, but I don't know about?

Any service that helps answer those, and can prove that its price is saving me enough to cover the cost will be worth it.

Honestly I find these pointless and I know a ton of trackers already exist. I would advise you to make a list of what you want then compare to what exists. If you have nothing unique to add then it’s not worth it unless it’s just a fun coding project. You may consider adding on to an already existing project as well.
