Hello!

May I please have recommendations for neuroscience books? I am interested in the biological process of the nervous system.

Thank you in advance!

At what level?

There are plenty of general interest books.

Instead of a 'books' thread, you might want a 'nursing' or 'medical' instance.

Good luck.

A pretty well regarded book written by a neurologist for the average reader.

Like textbooks? Or pop-science non-fiction? Or novels that may delve into neurology?

Neuroscience 6th ed, Purves
Functional Neuroanatomy and Clinical Neuroscience, Uysal

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, by Jean-Baptiste Bauby
The Brain that Changes Itself, by By Norman Doidge

Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes
Altered Carbon, by Richard Morgan

Those last two are science fiction, and take significant liberties with neuroscience, but they are good books.

Edit to second The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat. I read that in high school and it really got me into psychology and neuroscience.

Exclusively nonfiction books.

Ok, but I still highly recommend Flowers for Algernon. It's just a good book.

Presumably you meant books, because novels are fiction by definition.

I'm currently reading The Immune Mind by Dr Marty Lyman. It discusses how the immune system and nervous system work in concert to keep us healthy.
