I understand why this show was created. Suits gained a streaming following well after the show was over. That new life gave the brand value and a chance of infinite Suits spinoffs is worth the risk.

If it had been good enough and taken off, great, but I think we all expected this outcome.

There were a bunch of 2010s USA network shows that were fun, Burn Notice, White Collar, Psych, and of course Suits. I'd love to have seen them capture it again, but it wasn't meant to be.

Royal Pains is getting a reboot, as is White Collar.

after those ended on such a good ending, i dont think reboots will survive.

I didn't watch this show so maybe I'm off base here.

The dexter stuff proves the og characters are the most important part. If you want to capitalize on an old show becoming big on tiktok and streaming, you gotta use the characters people like and identify with

Figuring out what makes a show work is half the battle in making a spin-off. And for this one, a lot of it was the characters. But they took the crappy parts of the show, namely the company drama after the Mike drama wrapped up, and thought they could make it work in a new location.

I mean, they don't even have a Mike character, with or without the law degree drama. That was the whole gimmick of the original. Remove him and you've just got some generic lawyer drama show.

I was gonna write something sarcastic about Stephen Amell's acting but then I found this in the article

This is now the second Suits spinoff to run for one season, following USA’s Pearson.

Huh, I guess I always assumed the original took place in LA.

NYC is always the place for lawyer shows.

With aerial shots of such famed LA icons as the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building.
