They aren't tampered with...they are being used exactly as electronic devices should be used.

That said, the hardware is also pointless. Emulate the OS and suddenly...it means nothing because you can install it on almost any other hardware.

While I agree with sentiment that this is outrageous, Sony has similar clause in their PS5 SSLA. Which of course doesn't make it correct, but why not pressure both for change?

Interesting point is that UK EULA doesn't mention bricking but only disabling the use of that software.

Not that surprising, the UK has been working on better consumer laws. See all the grief Apple has had recently.
