I still remember his first tonight show, complete with an appearance by the masturbating bear. I was definitely on the “fuck jay leno” train when this happened

Conan is way more funny than Leno and Fallon.

Well Fallon has a funny level of zero, so that’s not hard

Agreed, and also: Fallon remains a vapid soulless sycophant piece of shit for sane washing the fuhrer

Fallon makes me wonder how he even has survived in entertainment at all. Dude is not funny. Hell leno was funnier than him and leno wasn't that great.

He was an ok contributer to SNL, including being able to handle the news segment. So he has experience working in an environment that churns out content.

Using his skills from SNL, he was able to create a Late Night show which could bring people being interviewed into sketches and other entertaining interactions. He also lucked out in picking The Roots as the house band.

He's great at bland humor for people to fall asleep to.

The goal of the tonight show is to get the most viewers in the most desirable advertising demographic. You or me thinking Falon isn't funny is meaningless. He gets the viewers they are after, and when he is too old to appeal to the right demographic he will be fired like Leno and Carson.

He has to be someone that's funny in person, like that one friend you have that's always hilarious. But on TV he's cardboard.

That's the only explanation I could ever come up with.

Or he has amazing connections.

Is is the reason that Fallon is a fed conspiracy holds any conceptual water.

His laugh is so fake and not genuine and he does it every 10 seconds.

Celebrity: So then we took my dog for a walk and saw a cat.

Fallon: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Celebrity: And this cat was rolling in catni-

Fallon: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The whole CoCo rallying cry was so great. I was outraged on his behalf at the time and am so happy he found the path he did. He's just the best.

Watched his HBO travel show and it's pretty funny. Highly recommended.
