Elon Musk allegedly got into a heated discussion with a senior White House official that turned physical during his time as head of DOGE, according to Steve Bannon.

A former chief strategist during Donald Trump's first term in office, Bannon told the Daily Mail that Musk's turbulent time in the White House took a dramatic turn when he allegedly "shoved" 62-year-old Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent during a heated exchange.

According to Bannon, Bessent confronted Musk over his sweeping but unfulfilled promises to deliver $1 trillion in budget cuts. "Scott Bessent called him out and said, 'You promised us a trillion dollars in cuts, and now you're at like $100 billion. Nobody can find any savings. What are you doing?'" Bannon recounted.

"And that's when Elon got physical. It's a sore subject with him," Bannon said.

Trillions in lost services, billions in savings

It’s like amputating a healthy limb to lose weight

Well, b comes before t in the alphabet, so it must be saving more money! Now watch them change the rules of nature/math.

"In the end, the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it."

Wait is that where the black eye came from??? Lmao

[–] Keilik@lemmy.world 19 points 6 days ago (2 children)

I was betting it was from Stephen miller seeing as he’s left handed, does anybody know if bessent is left handed too? lol

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago

Unless someone has seen Miller with a cast on, it wasn't him. That limp dick Nazi would snap his wrist just thinking about hitting someone.

I again challenge Stephen Miller to a cage match to the death

[–] lupusblackfur@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I would hope even Ferret Face Miller could give a better black eye than that piddling shit Elonazi is sporting...

Waiting to find out that he actually was slapped/hit by a woman somewhere along the line. 🤷‍♂️

He probably just fell into something while on drugs.

This is the real reason Musk is getting booted from the administration: Trump hates a loser, probably especially a loser who got his ass beat by an openly gay Ivy league graduate. That must hit all kinds of sour notes for these misogynist and homophobic fucks.

It would be hilarious if these guys were to kill each other.

I imagine the "altercation" to be like the one Peter Griffin had with Trump 🤣🤣🤣

Now where know where the black eye came from

[–] Kurious84@eviltoast.org 16 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Bannon has a person vendetta with musk because he's insanely jealous. Bannon will spill the beans.

He wants to be in the inner circle again.

[–] DarkDarkHouse@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Bannon is in the MAGA faction and Elon is (or was) in the rival Billionaire faction.

[–] Kurious84@eviltoast.org 1 points 5 days ago

Good point. Totally agree.

Bloated white slapfight

[–] neukenindekeuken@sh.itjust.works 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Bannon is not to be trusted. He's just starting shit imo. If that was real, musk would have made a huge fucking deal about it.

Musks pride wouldn't allow him to acknowledge the fight if he lost, he is the type to quietly tell himself he won but not acknowledge it externally. You see it with Neo-Nazi trolls like him pretty frequently, they talk shit till they get hit then they go cry to the cops. The main difference is that usually they don't get punched by their own, though Musk is probably more insufferable in person.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago

Someone who looks like Elon getting physical with anyone is sorta wild. Many 62 year olds could curb stomp him without breaking a sweat. Surprised Trump didn't hire his mom to babysit him like she did against Zuckerberg, who would have broke him in half.

[–] knobbysideup@sh.itjust.works 6 points 6 days ago

I hope musk shuts down X in retaliation.

[–] egrets@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

Quick reminder that if we're hearing it from Bannon, there's an agenda being pushed, and it'll be in Trump's best interests. Nice to hear about infighting, though.

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Is that why Musk was walking around with a black eye?

[–] Ironfist79@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Elon ran into a door.
