Who's going to stop them?
If you look at a map of the western states my home state of Nevada is fucked when this happens.
That fucking public land belongs to the fucking public! How DARE you jackasses even think fo selling it off!
🖕🤬🖕
The US already has enough land for housing and more than enough homes, just not the right kinds and not at all price points.
GOP:
hey, I know, we’ll just… not follow the rules
Democrats:
What can ya do? 🤷♂️
Citizens:
Welp, I went to a parade. I’ve done all I can.
No seriously. Should they be chaining themselves to their desk or something? Jumping up and down and yelling hysterically? Concealed carrying and taking out some Perjury Traitor Greeds?
I dunno. Im askin.
Hold them in contempt of Congress, file lawsuits, campaign in Mike Lee’s home district and make a huge deal about it, stall bad bills in committee, haul in private industry leaders and grill them on why they want to violate federal law and destroy protected land - literally anything they have the power to do.
What they should not be doing is fold their arms and pout about not wanting to do anything for 4 years, which is exactly what they are paid to do by the donors.
Hold them in contempt of Congress,
Contempt of Congress starts in committee. Which committee chair would you expect to get contempt charges through?

27 so far (for six months, that’s not too bad)
campaign in Mike Lee’s home district and make a huge deal about it
Utah’s 1st Congressional district is 75% republiQan. How much would you like to spend there?
stall bad bills in committee
There’s a number of state bills being stalled (by both parties), but I only see articles about the budget bill. This one would need some more specifics
haul in private industry leaders and grill them on why they want to violate federal law and destroy protected land
Again, that happens in committee, which committee did you imagine would allow that? These aren’t reasonable, rational people.
- literally anything they have the power to do.
I think that’s boiling down to concealed carry in the chamber at this point.
At the bare minimum they should be voting no. Too many of these morons are complicit with the current administration because they approve whatever Trump wants. Even though their constituents are begging them to stop Trump agenda.
Not disagreeing, but that's two years of federal-level opportunity to make some deals for the people back home. I'm just saying they might vote yes once in awhile on something somewhere on this side of the galaxy's "normal" in exchange for a yes from Them for whatever it is.
Nothing like the Big Boof Budget Bill, which holds the whole country hostage. We've seen lots of shutdowns before, a month or two and people get crazy wiggy. I think we should go longer, but I'm not in need of essential services at the moment. So I would think that.
Not voting for the bills would be a start. It's a pretty low fucking bar.
What bills? There’s always a couple dipshits in the bag, but not very many.
Since 2017, Utah’s Mike Lee has been on a mission - this time not Mormon - to demolish National Monuments. He began in his own backyard, targeting Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante, for fossil fuel drilling. He’s been colluding with Trump for 8 years to hand over millions of acres of protected land to oil and gas.
Trump govt is breaking rules!
Yes. They do. Every day. They'll continue doing it anyways.
What is the news here?
The news is millions of acres of unspoiled public property will be ripped from us and sold to oil companies for pennies, and then be clearcut, drilled, and made superfund uncleanup sites.
No one but trump and the oil companies will benefit from this.
