Well they didn't seem to acknowledge it in the movie either. That little girl got sent to the depression zone and just popped back in as if nothing happened.

The entire city got grabbed up and no one reacted.
Remember when the TV and Movie universes were actually intertwined? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Remember when you didn't have to consume 10 different media to understand the plot of one mediocre movie?
Now I hear that games are going to be part of the new DC universe. I don't have time for that.
It's probably my reading skills, but I legit can't tell if you're disagreeing. You're saying you're glad that everything doesn't interact, right?
Yes.
Gunn stated that the individual stories will be stand alone. Seems like you should be able to watch/play each entry without an issue even if they are part of a bigger continuity.
I don't expect anyone to watch this 2 hour long YouTube video but hearing this reminds me of it. Basically the TL;DR is that when the movie Avatar came out they were saying similar things about how all the different video games based on the movie would all be canon but also standalone, and then it turned out that all of them were basically just the plot of the movie but with different characters swapped in. I suspect the MCU games will be the same.
