Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Having worked in similar environments, I’d bet good money the person who wrote the post stands by it but was forced to take it down by the higher ups.
"Maybe Jews aren't the only people who shouldn't be genocided?"
HOW DARE YOU!
So what I'm hearing is that some more "fierce criticism" needs to be applied to force them to put it back up.
Facing fierce criticism, the museum deleted the post and issued a defensive statement claiming it was "part of a pre-planned social media campaign intended to promote inclusivity and community" that was "easily open to misinterpretation"
When did Holocaust museums get so woke? I mean, "intended to promote inclusivity", really? Back in my day we didn't even have Holocaust museums and we were able to conduct our genocides perfectly well.
America. Land of cowards.
what sort of misinterpretation?
