Rush? Been 10 months since the shooting. This must be fucking torture. Dude the case against him is shit and should be dismissed. Set him free he is an innocent.

Plus they keep depriving him his rights, and law already went public with details they shouldn't have. I mean they have no case. Yet here it is 9 months later and still no trail.

The pope should have made him a saint already.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Bad move. You can't be a saint as long as you live - being dead is one of the prerequisites.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Proto saint. He'll become a saint the day he dies.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

well maybe we need to change that just for him

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"Catholic Church" and "Change" don't go that well together...

i've heard those collection plates jangle

I get you but this is the American legal system. If this trial is done by 2028 it would be a rush.

they have dna on the shells as well…
dna on the bike, dna on the backpack he dropped… allegedly….
if true, that would be pretty cut and dry… also supposedly he had the murder weapon and manifesto on him… if that’s true and ballistics and everything checks out, pretty solid case against him….
he’s still entitled a bunch of appeals that should last years….
if the President is directly affecting it, it should be a mistrial… no way to find a non biased jury in this country either….

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They literally have nothing on him. It's all inadmissible, the backpack was improperly handled at the scene, meaning there it would have been trivially easy to plant evidence... It's why we have those laws

And where's the DNA from the casings or the dropped bag? A conspicuous absence if you ask me, especially with them having no other evidence

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I call bullshit on the DNA on the bike and shells.

The backpack? He didn't do it so how the fuck did he drop it?

I mean everything in the case has been bullshit. The entire world can see it. The rich just need to make an example out of him to show it's pointless to resist.

They fail to learn from history.

Ironically, if they do manage to execute him there’s a decent chance it’ll just inspire thousands more like him.

it’s unknowable at this point…
i sure don’t trust them…

The gun is a glock with a custom grip right? That seems like it would be easy to identfy.

[–] ozymandias@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago

well that’s not important, what matters is the barrel and such, it will leave distinct ballistics and metal fragments… the forensics people will fire the gun again and compare that bullet to the ones retrieved….

[–] kuhli@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It was a 3d printed gun, basically impossible to track down.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Ghost guns still are usually made with parts from major manufacturers -barrels, slides, part of the receiver (see wired article).

Its impossible to track down the gun but if he was carrying it then its already tracked down. If he'd thrown it in a river it would hace been impossible for law enforcement to connect it to him unless they had video of him tossing it.

Since there's video of the gun at the crime (and it exhibits a very obvious design flaw) and he had it on him the rarity of such a gun will likely serve the opposite effect at trial.

I am genuinely unconvinced that they even got the right fucking guy. And the evidence chain of custody of his backpack was absolutely fucked six ways from Sunday.

You know who should be executed.....vile PEDOS like Donald Trump.

Unironically, a presidential pardon would be the easiest way to improve the American Healthcare system
