I started listening to Sonic Youth when I was in high school. Sister, which this song is on, and the followup Daydream Nation are my favorite albums of theirs. There was a period during my sophomore year where I listened to the whole 70 minutes of Daydream Nation every night before going to bed.

Bad Moon Rising is my favorite. It holds a special place for me.

I like their earlier stuff, but I feel like they weren't in their final form until Steve Shelley joined. His drumming really drives the songs forward.

Rather Ripped is probably my second favorite. Steve Shelley is definitely a great drummer.

I haven't really given anything after Murray Street a listen, other that Incinerate, which is one of those songs Spotify would recommend to me constantly. I think I'll start exploring their later catalog soon.

Rather Ripped and Sonic Nurse are both very, very good later albums! :)

It's less solid, but I also adore some songs on The Eternal (Antenna, What We Know, Walking Blue, and Massage the History)
