It feels very strange to agree with Ted Cruz but here we are.
It's not strange, rather it's bad enough that your typical ideological opponents are agreeing with you.
Sets a pretty bad precedent for them in the future, it's a can of worms that'll be very hard to put back together

Don't make the mistake of thinking there's a semblance of human decency left in those MAGA turds.
They're doing it to distance themselves from Trump if the Epstein scandal finally gets him, of if people are tired enough of him, his tariffs and his ICE Gestapo to topple the regime. They don't want to be flushed out with the rest of the MAGA turds.
Marjorie Taylor Greene does the exact same thing for the exact same reason: she doesn't give two shits about the Epstein victims. She's just buying herself some good will from the Trump haters.
The only Trump dissenter I reckon might have genuine good intentions and might not be scheming to position himself in a post-Trump future is Mike Massie. But he might simply be smarter and clever enough to not look as damn obvious as the other turds. So I wouldn't bet on it.

Carlson at least makes some sense I think. He makes his living talking about political stuff on TV. A crackdown on other people that do that, could one day spread to him if at some point he ended up on the administration's bad side somehow.
Ted Cruz has a podcast too, which might be a relevant factor here. And yes it’s weird and cringey he has that as sitting Senator but it is a changing world.
These people are looking after trump now that he’s been used up.
