Here's the thing: "conspiracy theory" is a phrase very successfully manipulated throughout the'90s by the CIA via media embedded assets. Once counter-distrust was sown, manipulation of these conspiracy theories was easier.

Often there is a core truth that the "theory" obscures. Libor and NSA domestic surveillance are two good examples where the core idea was correct but before the truth broke out the general conspiracy targets were mostly the wrong folks.

With QAnon you can almost suspect that it was an early attempt to get ahead of the narrative on epstein's operation and misdirect people.

Epstein's operation wasn't a conspiracy theory, but the narrative around it was definitely an additional operation by the same echelon. It is very important that people keep that in mind. Cut through the fog of war.

There's a frequent repeat post on reddit, and I think Lemmy, that tallies up an update on how many republicans have been convicted of child porn or sexual abuse.
