You may or may not have heard but imgur have recently started blocking UK traffic completely, responding with a "content not viewable in your region" image in place of the actual image.

I've had a couple of these where I wanted to see the image, so engaged my VPN, went back into the post and tried to force a refresh with pulling down and pressing evey thing I can think of to force Voyager Android app to try and retrieve the image again now that it will be the actual image rather than the blocked image.

Is there something simple I can do to force that image refresh? Right now I'm sharing the post or image to my browser after turning on the VPN, but ideally looking for a more streamlined workflow.

(I don't have a foreign VPN on all the time as I VPN tunnel to my home network when outside of the house for self hosted services)

If you are in the UK and you tunnel into your home via VPN... you are still in the UK, you need to connect to a VPN service/server outside of the UK.

You misunderstand. They used a foreign VPN. The reason it isn't always on is because they use a VPN to talk to their home server.

Yes that is correct I have a VPN connection available to my house on my UK internet connection for selfhosted services and a separate commercial VPN available from a major provider which I can use to route via a different country but I don't believe I can easily have them both connected at the same time nor do I really want to always route all of my traffic overseas to work around a minor part my online experience
