Favorite, compared to other animals, most people in global north / β€œThe West” and many people elsewhere have some semblance of a normal life, even if the global state is a nightmare.

Least, that we cannot recognize we are one species who could solve a lot of problems by working together. Instead, the selfish & rich create spoilage while being short sighted.

As someone who has traveled it is the people who DON'T live in The West who have a semblance of a normal life

I really like how resistant we as a species are to propaganda. It doesn't seem to matter how hard it's pushed and explained, most people don't fully buy into anything. That's not always a good thing, but it means mistakes, regardless of their momentum, eventually get reconsidered. Also, in the digital age we're losing track of how our own everyday technologies work, but considering how far we've come, it's hella impressive it took this long.

I really dislike our tribalism and egotism.

That there can exist people you can bond with.

Society knows exactly what is wrong with the world or their country. The problem is the defeatist mindset and applying couch potato activism that doesn't solve the problems. For every chance that we do have, we take to society to complain about it without actually doing anything about it. Never fails.

That we are both simultaneously intelligent and absolutely stupid.

We built a modern technological society for all of humanity yet set it up to only benefit a handful of individuals and convinced ourselves that this is acceptable.

The handful of beneficiaries are intelligent enough to lead but dumb enough to think that this is sustainable. The rest of us are intelligent enough to live and work in this society yet dumb enough to never want to do anything about it.

I love that it shows that humans naturally wish to congregate and aid each other.

I hate that it allows the worst types of people to gain influence because humans in general are easily misguided and manipulated.

I love that we all have to be accountable to each other, give and take philosophy, which makes a society going. At the same time, I hate to be accountable to People who doesn't give a shit about the rest of us.
