Trump is being shown reruns from the George Floyd riots, in order to justify this current trajectory. He is so confidently incorrect here, nothing else makes sense. He's literally an idiot that will believe anything you show him, as long as it's on TV.

Even during the George Floyd stuff, the newsworthy events were just happening in a few blocks of downtown around the courthouse. Someone living in Portland not terminally glued to the news would have had little idea anything unusual was going on.
I guarantee you...someone in the White House is showing him a montage of footage from all the protests put together, and running it on a loop with a ticker scroll calling it the "Portland Warzone".
They are probably splicing in footage from overseas military stock footage too, because it isn't like Trump knows what Portland looks like.
If true and I had to bet, I'd go with Stephen Miller
