Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Dude voted to deport millions, now pretending to have a heart. That’s even more dishonest than Trump.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 55 points 6 days ago

He's upset because his listeners are upset.

He just needs to have a few ICE agents on to do some DMT and remind him why MS-13 would have conquered DeMoine by now if not for President The Donald.

If you want to win, you can’t crap on people for trying to change their minds to support you.

[–] _core@sh.itjust.works 19 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Except he's not changing his mind, his fans are upset so he's catering to them. If they didn't care he wouldn't say a word.

[–] Flisty@mstdn.social 5 points 6 days ago

@_core @RestrictedAccount like watching the modern American equivalent of the British right-wing press in action. The Daily Mail was openly fascist until WWII started. Say what you want people to think while it's profitable, but if the worm turns, find a new opinion...
It's a good thing. He's not as bright as he thinks and has few morals to speak of, but he's a good bellwether.

I get it! Buy guns! /S

[–] Catma@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago

If only we could have known then what they meant by this. Alas, hindsight is 20/20

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 71 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Gee, Joe, you think so? If only there was some way we could have known Donald would make a bad president.

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 27 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

If only there was a way to see how he treated immigrants before. Like having children in cages in detention centers.

No no no. Do you hear yourself??? Do you hear how crazy you sound??? Here's a guy that ALREADY was president! You know how when you're applying for jobs on Indeed, and there's a piece of software that has only existed for 3 years, and yet they require 4 years experience with it? Well that's what trump has! You always hire the guy with experience! Duh! He's already done this job before! Who else would win? A woman? Ha! Both times trump won, it's because he beat a woman! Do you understand that? Trump beats women! Everybody knows trump beats women. And if you think that's bad, you should see what he does yo little kids!

But you think we should have been able to just magically KNOW that a man who was convicted 34 times, based on crimes he comitted as president, would be a corrupt president???

Crazy talk is what that is!

I mean what alternative do dudebros really have? These are the same people that think if they don't gobble tons of animal protein, their dongs will fall off and they'll become women. They run around calling people "soy boys" FFS, because they think soy will give them boobs and they'll become gay. They have similar views about voting Democratic - isn't that the party for women?

[–] Octavio@lemmy.world 32 points 6 days ago

Oh, you mean he slams the very things millions of us warned about last year when he was doing everything possible to get trump into office?

Fuck Joe Rogan.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 43 points 6 days ago

Rogan will say whatever he needs to so he can make money. His opinions & views are based on US Currency.

[–] Sektor@lemmy.world 25 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Eat dick, unfunny spineless piece of shit.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 20 points 6 days ago (1 children)

What a windsock. Just tell people what they want to hear.

[–] J92@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

"I call David Cameron the weather cock. David 'the weather cock' Cameron. I call him that for two reasons:

One - because he spins, doesn't he, in the prevailing wind of public opinion.

And two - the other reason why I call him David 'the weather cock' Cameron, is because I often wonder whether he's got a cock or not."

Roughly paraphrased from Stewart Lee.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 14 points 5 days ago

Fuck all these back paddlers.

Unless your statement starts with an apology and admission of guilt for pushing the orange piece of shit, you do not get to play the "Oh I didn't want THIS" card.

[–] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 15 points 6 days ago (2 children)

This fucker says whatever the hell he needs to get clicks. That’s it. The only thing he actually cares about is money.

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Him and Alex Jones are cut from the same cloth

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world -1 points 6 days ago

For sure, although it is a bit reassuring to think that there's public pressure for him to say these things

[–] Jode@midwest.social 19 points 6 days ago

Slampt. Absolutely slormpt

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 20 points 6 days ago

Joe probably realized a chunk of his listeners are truck drivers with brown skin.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 18 points 6 days ago

Right on time Joey!!

Dipshit.

[–] chosensilence@pawb.social 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

i'd like someone to slam his fucking head into a wall

[–] Balaquina@lemmy.ca 18 points 6 days ago

Wouldn't make much of a difference honestly.

[–] lectricleopard@lemmy.world 12 points 6 days ago

I mean broken clock amd all that.

For me, this is like reporting old man Joe, that hangs out at the bar down the street, has been saying he thinks Trump is going to far.

Cool.

[–] Kyle_The_G@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

Good on Joe Rogan for his stance, but frankly, at this point I couldn't be paid to give a fuck about anything the man says.

What’s with these horrible humans who helped along trump’s and the right wing’s takeover, directly like MTG or indirectly like Rogan, suddenly coming out and criticizing trump? Is it affecting their 401k or stock portfolio or something? No way it’s because they’re suddenly decent people or got an extra braincell or something.

[–] Paragone@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Be careful when criticizing the "king"/dictator:

doing-so carefully may work, but doing-so "slamming" Trump, is likely to significantly shorten one's lifespan, soon.
