No butter and no other dairy though.
Like fresh fruit, or like syrup-infused canned fruit that just gets a little caramelized on the griddle. Cuz those both sound awesome.

They are both delicious! Just, maybe not what's pictured though.
Looks like IHOP pancakes and a Waffle House waffle. Neither establishment is known for high-quality dining... however, a waffle house all-star special while half drunk at 3am hits on a different level.
Idk if it was covid but I just don't like maple syrup anymore. I like jam or jelly.
Coconut syrup. Throw some macadamia nuts in your pancake and slather it with some coco re'al cream of coconut. Delish.

Why is French toast always left out of the debate?
Pancakes because they don't need specialised cooking equipment to make, I just make them on my cast iron pan.
