Careful what you wish for. I'm not disagreeing, but when the powerful are fearful, it will get worse before it gets better. Could be a whole lot worse.

Just pick Burmese, covers both. I'd probably choose that and Japanese.

Kids should be raised by their parents not by salaried strangers that don’t really give a fuck about them other than to earn their paycheck.

This is such a twisted mentality. My wife is a teacher. We have lots of friends who are teachers. From TK up through middle school. These people CARE. No one outside some truly scummy and rare substandard daycare places get into this simply for a paycheck.

So if you want to have a kid in this ideal society of yours, what happens? The party forces you to stay home, abandon your interests so you can devote all your time to raising proper party members?

We all need help sometimes. This is a generally good thing. I'm sure it will have flaws, like school lunch programs (the food is usually processed and nasty), it's still better than not having it and it is a step towards recognizing we need to support eachother to make this work for everyone.

We got the kids tablets for long car rides too. We let them use them as a reward. PBS Kids games and Epic (books) are good compromises.

the desert to the east of San Francisco.

Lol what the fuck? I assume you are taking about California Forever but desert is a weird word to describe the Sacramento River delta. It is one of the largest estuaries in north america.

I'm well aware where those soundbites come from.

Its almost like rich idiots are running everything. Like they got their positions not from competency but from nepotism. That can't be true though.

Starfighter will always mean something different to me.

I am trying to slowly peel away from Google and my next task is Google Calendar. I currently have a couple shared calendars with other people and I'm not going to be able to break them free from Google quite yet. I have a next cloud server I was hoping to set up to be my primary source but I need to be able to interact with the shared calendars as well. Can I create a group calendar and have other persons, Google Calendar sync to it?

I'm not married to Next Cloud. It was just what I have available. I can do a different setup if that would work better.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA
