Which Android Subsonic/Navidrome clients you prefer? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

I have a Navidrome server set up, and I like listening on my phone, but the clients I've used were either apps that looked like they belonged on Marshmallow or older, or was terribly clunky, or both.

I've heard a lot about Symfonium, but it requiring Google Play to buy a license when I'm trying to De-Google... not a great combo.

It doesn't need to be overly fancy, like idc about casting or the 20 sources that Symfonium had. I just want a client that looks modern-ish, something like Vivi, and allows downloads.

Symfonium is ridiculously customizable and well worth the one time cost IMO, but like you said it requires purchase and through the Play store.

DSub is on Fdroid and works well though it lacks many of the customization options that Symfonium has. It's kind of like a mobile mode of the default Navidrome webUI.

Those are the two I keep installed at all times because I use them for different things. The other options for Android either had weird quirks I didn't like or didn't offer functionality I needed.

Tolriq (Symfonium's creator) is pretty chill and if you send him €6 or more over Kofi he'll give you a license.

This is important to point out. I donated double because the guy (Tolriq) updates it like every week and is always adding new features.

He just added native sonos support for grouping, individual volume control etc...

By far Symfonium is the best. There is no competition.

He even helped me figure out how to find my product key when it wasnt appearing.

Currently operating on GrapheneOS w no google for a few months now with no issues at all.

Dsub is great but looks slightly dated. Tempo might be what you're looking for.

I have used tempo and youamp both are great but tempo is more feature rich.
